Committees & Volunteering

Become a volunteer

Our vibrant and dedicated community of committee members and volunteers enrich synagogue life every single day. From organizing meaningful events and educational programs to guiding our finances and leadership, their efforts strengthen our congregation and inspire us all. For more information about getting involved, please contact Robyn Bennett rbennett@theshaar.org.

Mishloach Manot

Each Purim, our Mishloach Manot project brings the joy of giving to life at the Shaar. Members have the opportunity to send beautifully designed, thoughtfully curated gift boxes to friends and fellow congregants, strengthening bonds across our community.

This beloved initiative engages people of all ages — from enthusiastic volunteers who pack the boxes to the many dedicated members who deliver them with a smile. It’s a heartwarming tradition that celebrates connection, community spirit, and the mitzvah of spreading joy on Purim.
